Flexible Stone Facade — Private House in Mălcoți

A Breathing Home

Area.......................135m2
Year .......................2017
A small, warm private house in Mălcoți with a mansard roof and arched windows represents classic family architecture. The owners wanted to preserve a cozy character while giving the house a neat European silhouette: a light stone facade, white trims and projecting bands, and a practical dark plinth.

The chosen solution was a KORDEKO flexible tile facade combined with a decorative set of trims and horizontal bands. The house gained a stone character without excess mass or wet construction processes. The light KORDEKO stone texture unified the geometry into a calm, consistent tone, while white cornices and bands created clean shadow lines—making the house appear taller and more slender.
The dark, practical plinth hides splashes and signs of use, requires less frequent cleaning, and remains visually stable over time. The vapor-permeable system allows the facade to “breathe”: condensation does not form, joints and transitions are covered by decor, and the facade reads as monolithic.

By choosing KORDEKO flexible tile, the owners received a neat, lightweight, and easy-to-maintain facade for many years. No costly restorations are required.
