Flexible Facade Tile — Mansion in Ialoveni

A Plinth That Supports the Facade in Ialoveni

Area.......................150m2
Year ........................2024
The mansion received a dark gray flexible-tile plinth along the entire perimeter. It aligned the lower facade line and closed the zone where dirt and water usually accumulate. Inside, the palette continues with warm, light wall finishes under wood and a neat staircase area—without excess stone and dust.

Task:
  • Protect the plinth from moisture, salts, and mechanical impact without adding load to the foundation.
  • Level base irregularities and neatly wrap all corners and openings.
  • Keep installation clean and fast (the house was occupied).
  • Choose a finish that could be continued indoors so exterior and interior speak one language.
Result for the owner:
The plinth is protected and durable—confidently handling freeze–thaw cycles (200+), road reagents, and even gravel impact. The facade reads even and “assembled”: the lower line runs at one level around the perimeter. The material is thin and lightweight, so there was no need to reinforce walls or “eat” the opening width. Installation was quick and clean—no relocation needed, minimal dust and noise.

Outside and inside, the finish remains consistent; the house looks more refined and cohesive. Maintenance is simple: outdoors a hose is enough, indoors a damp cloth. Flexible tile turned a vulnerable plinth into a strong architectural accent and gave the interior a calm, long-lasting finish—without heavy stone and long renovations.
