Pletaflex Flexible Tile — Private House in Telecentru

Classical Architecture: Light and Volume

Area: ...............................180 m²
Year: ...............................2023
Pletaflex B02 BB “Butcher Beige” was selected for this project. A natural beige tone with fine grain and a calm stone texture. In sunlight, the surface produces a delicate shimmer; in shade, it appears velvety and restrained. The color does not shift toward gray or yellow, maintaining stable planes and harmonizing with the roof and cast window sills.

The sheet format makes it possible to build the rhythm of seams according to the architecture. Vertical lines support windows and pilasters, while horizontal seams align with bands and cornice lines. To better understand tile sizing, a short explanatory video is available, showing how format influences seam pattern, façade readability, and ease of detailing around windows and pilasters.
From a distance, the house reads as a unified stone mass; up close, neat 2–3 mm joints and clean corners become visible. This material is often referred to as flexible facade tile. Its visual qualities are close to natural stone, while being lighter, more color-stable, and easier to maintain.

The façade appears composed and orderly. The light Butcher Beige tone emphasizes decorative relief, long calm seams build a clear architectural grid, and cornice shadows create volume even in overcast weather. Here, facade decor made of expanded polystyrene is not decoration but an architectural tool: it completes cornices, adds deep shadow, divides height, aligns proportions, and supports the horizontal rhythm of the cladding. Surrounds frame openings neatly, close exposed edges, and protect slopes from moisture. Due to moderate element width, the facade remains light, traditional in character, and visually hides minor plaster irregularities.

To visualize the facade live, use the 3D catalog of flexible facade tile with two sliders (wall / plinth) to quickly find a suitable combination without on-site trials.
