Flexible Stone — Private House in Malcoci

Noble Stone Accent

Area: ...............................190 m²
Year: ...............................2024
Malcoci is a house with character: a high wrought-iron fence, bay windows, arched openings, and a wide cornice band. The architecture called for stone—not rough or heavy, but light, accurate, and respectful of the façade proportions. The task was to emphasize the architecture without overloading the walls.

The façade was finished with KORDEKO flexible stone tile in a calm stone palette. The house gained a sense of stone solidity and visual dignity while remaining light and warm in perception. The material follows complex geometry and curved elements, allowing bay windows and arches to be wrapped without cuts or cracks and with precise geometry.
Task
  • give the façade a unified stone appearance in a single tone without overloading the structure;
  • preserve the plasticity of complex elements: bay windows, semi-columns, bands, arched openings;
  • achieve durability and easy maintenance without annual painting or restoration.
Result and benefits for the owner
  • Natural stone texture without weight. The material replicates stone pattern and adapts to curved areas with clean geometry.
  • Clean lines. Cornice bands and window surrounds gained clear shadow; seams are minimal and planes read as continuous.
  • Adapted to the local climate. The material does not fade, does not absorb water, withstands over 200 freeze–thaw cycles, and serves up to 40 years.
  • Operational efficiency. Maintenance is limited to periodic washing with water; no repainting, impregnation, or delamination.
