Flexible Stone for Facades — Building in Ciocana

Light Stone for Complex Lines

Area................260m²
Year ................2023
A contemporary building with curved walls, balconies, and architectural facade decor.
The task was to achieve a natural “stone” appearance on radii and corners without excessive load on the walls and without the risk of cracking. The facade was finished with light-colored flexible tile: curved sections and upper edges were laid evenly, joints are consistent, and connections are clean. The stone surface looks equally refined both up close and in wide views, and shadows follow the curves smoothly—giving the building a cohesive and well-balanced appearance.
For this project, KORDEKO (Pletaflex) finishing provided a natural look: the composition contains about 95% marble granules, forming a deep stone texture. Installation was straightforward even on corners and radii—the lightweight and elastic material lays flat, does not overload the structure, and prevents crack formation. The finish withstands 200+ freeze–thaw cycles and confidently endures winter and intense insolation.
The “breathable” facade releases vapor and does not allow moisture penetration from outside—walls remain dry, without mold or mildew. Over time, the appearance stays neat and stable for many years.
