Warm “Wooden” Accent on White Architecture
Area: ...............................250 m²
Year: ...............................2025
A single-storey contemporary house with a perimeter terrace and large windows required a warm, “living” façade without the maintenance demands of natural wood and without disturbing the clean geometry of white volumes. Flexible facade tile was chosen to introduce a deep, warm accent while preserving architectural clarity.
The flexible tile for the facade added a pronounced warm character to the house in Brașov. The vertical wood-like pattern contrasts with the white volumes, making the terrace feel more intimate and visually inviting. The texture reads clearly both at close range and in wider views.
For a modern single-storey house, KORDEKO (Pletaflex) finishing works without cracking, as the material bends on long planes and does not form surface mesh. Flexible tile is not affected by the heat and frost typical for Brașov. Near roads and in windy areas, the façade remains stable; vibrations do not cause delamination. The house feels “warm” in perception, and the terrace becomes a focal point that will maintain its neat appearance for many years.
